Week 1 - Introductions & Goals

   Hello There!!

    Hello! My name is Jae DiVito (No relation to Danny Devito sadly). I use they/them pronouns and I'm from Rolling Meadows IL. I am a freshman here at North Central College, majoring in studio art and minoring in animation. I hope to become an animator in the future (I'm unsure for what studio, but none-the-less I'd like the be an animator!) I'm unsure what I want to do on campus other than theater- and I'm waiting until later in the year to join that.

    Some fun facts about me is I have 2 pets, a berniedoodle named Louie and a cat named Luca. In my free time, I do a lot of drawing, writing, video editing, and playing video games. I can't quite pick a favorite genre for movies- simply because it all depends on the mood I'm in. I totally prefer the colder seasons- autumn being my favorite season and winter being a close second.

    My Expectations and Goals for this Class

    I expect this class to teach me more formalities with writing. I'm excited to learn how to do "college writing" from a college. I'm not quite sure what else to expect from this class, other than writing and reading (which is going to suck for me, since I have a hard time reading.)

    Wrapping up with my goals in this class, I hope to improve my general writing and overall structure to be more creative and also more productive. My thought process is that if I get better at writing, it'll help me storyboard and plan out animations in the future. You have to start somewhere, and this is where I decided to start.
