Week 2 - Favorite Phone Photo

Favorite Phone Photo!!

    It's been rather hard transitioning from living with my family to living with almost complete strangers, but it's definitely a lot more fun. One of my favorite photos on my phone currently is a photo of me and my roommates on our first night all together. We had just gotten back from a 12am Taco Bell run- and overall it was one of the most fun nights of my life.

    It's fun to look at the photo and look at the different personalities of each of us. Anella is very loud and proud, she has a lot of energy to give off- and it's almost infectious. Meanwhile Katie is pretty chill, being the voice of reason within our group. Katie's like the cool mom in our group of misfits. And then there's Livi. Livi's like the fun aunt of the group, she brings almost the same amount of energy as Anella- but doubles down on the chaos within the group. I feel like the blurry-ness of the photo also adds to the chaos of the photo.

    This photo overall just makes me feel at home in this new location with these new people. It's only been around 2-3 weeks at this point, but the little place that we have does feel like home. As much as I miss my family and my cat, I feel like I've found a new family here and its nice. I don't think I've ever clicked with a group like this in a while. But that makes me think about other people on campus- have other freshman on campus found a similar family dynamic with their roommates? Are they having as much fun as we are? Is anyone else on campus making those 12 am Taco Bell runs?
