Week(s) 4-6

     Oops I forgot to write for a bit so I'm going to knock all three weeks out in one post (so I don't have to post multiple.)

Week 4 - Chapter 10 Review

I'm gonna be honest, chapter 10 was very dense and hard to understand overall. I originally confused from this topic (assuming it was describing photos within writing- not ACTUAL photos.)  When it came to figuring out what it was about, it got easier. What was the perspective of the person taking the photo? Why was that photo specifically chosen? What was the purpose of the original photo compared to how it's used in an article? All of these things I'd overlook in the past, whereas now I think about them- question the reasons.

Week 5 - Documentary

I watched Dinosaur 13- and when I say I CRIED over DINOSAUR FOSSILS. It was a really messy and complicated custody battle over literal dinosaur bones. Of course, I went into the documentary thinking "Oh, it's about Sue at the Field Museum of Chicago. I wonder how they got her." (Sue is the name given to the dinosaur fossils after Susan Hendrickson.) I CRIED. I'M NOT JOKING. This whole story made me sob, finding out she was seized from her original excavation crew- away from her hometown. The whole reason she ended up in Chicago was because the Field Museum of Chicago had the highest bid for them- $8,362,500. An amount of money I can't IMAGINE of getting within my lifetime- and the Field Museum was backed up by Disney and McDonalds- which are  two names I wouldn't think of associating with the Field Museum of Chicago. Crazy.

Week 6 - Freebie

I'm not gonna lie, while writing this I have a massive headache, but I'm so behind with my blogs so I have to catch up before next class. I will say yet again that I did in fact cry watching the documentary. As of writing this, I am very tired while trying to plan ahead for the next of this week. I'm going on a trip soon with my dad and I'm very nervous about it, due to the fact I'll be taking a plane (I do not like planes). I've been working on friendship bracelets as well (because during said trip I will be meeting up with some friends and I wanted to bring gifts.)
